The college is affiliated to the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Orissa for Higher Secondary or +2 course and to Berhampur University (BU) for three year degree course or +3 course. The teaching facilities in the following subjects are available :

Basic Computer Education is a new subject introduced in all streams (Arts, Science, Commerce) for the students going to appear H.S. Examination, 2013 and onwards. It has been communicated to all colleges by the CHSE, Odisha vide its letter no. Acd. 262/2011/2629 Dated 12.06.2012 and concurred by the Department of Higher Education, Odisha vide its Notification No. 37191 Dated 28.10.2011. Basic Computer Education is a non-examiniing subject like Yoga & Enviromental Education. During the academic session 2015-16 the following Vocational Subject are intruduced to be taught as per the Govt. order number XVI-HE-13.02.2015 No. 141/dated 28.05.2015 in the +2 stream. 1. Toursim and Travel Management (TTM) 2. Office Management (OM), 3. Banking, 4. Inforamtion and Technology (IT), 5. Mobile Technology (MT). According to the performance of the students, grades shall be awarded as A,B, C or D in order of merit by the college and it shall be recorded in the pass certificate given by the council, However the grades secured in yoga, Enviromental Education & Basic Computer Education will not affect the results of the candidates.

Duration of Course
The duration of courses is 2 yrs. Each subject is to be divided into two parts, 1st year & 2nd yr. carrying 100 marks each. Each subject shall be covered up within two years (100 Marks).

8.2.A pass student shall offer one pass subject of 400 marks in addition to compulsory and Elective papers. Each subject shall consist of two papers each carrying 100 marks. In pass subjects having practical, A - I and A - II will be broken up as 75 (Theory), 75 (Theory) and 50 (Practical). Similarly, A -III and A - IV will be broken up as 75 (Theory) 75 (Theory) and 50 (Practical).

9.2.A candidate in B.A. (Hons.) shall take Honours subject carrying 800 marks and two elective subjects besides compulsory subjects. Each elective subject shall consist of two papers each carrying 100 marks. Each Hons. subjects shall consist of 8 papers each carrying 100 marks. In Hons. subject having practical component Paper - V and Paper VIII are practical of 100 marks each. In Mathematics P -VIII is either practical or theory. Among the different choices of subjects in Economics Hons. P-VII & P-VIII are international Economics & Computer & Its application respectively.
10.A candidate (Hons. or Pass) shall choose two elective subjects, each carrying 200 marks (without any practical component) from the following subjects or other subjects.Indian polity, Indian Economy, Landmarks in Indian History , Mathematics, Oriya, Philosophy, Mass Communication, provided that a student in Hons. or Pass cannot offer the corresponding subject as elective.

12.2.A B.Sc. (Hons) student shall choose an Honours subject carrying 800 marks. One Pass subject carrying 400 marks, one minor elective carrying 100 marks and one major elective carrying 200 marks consisting of two papers each carrying 100 marks. Besides Compulsory papers. Subject (s) with Practical shall carry 75% theory and 25 % practical. In Hons. subjects having Practical components, Paper - V and Paper - VIII as practical of 100 marks each. In Mathematics paper - VIII is either practical or theory.
13.1.Minor Elective Papers : In science (both Honours and Pass), a student with Life Science (Botany/zoology etc.) as Pass or Honours shall take one Minor Elective Paper on "Mathematics for Biology students" carrying 100 marks where as the other student (of Physical Sciences) shall take " Biology for Physical Sciences students" as minor Elective carrying 100 marks.
13.2.A B. Sc. (Pass) student shall choose one subject as Major Elective from among the following subjects or other subject (s). Carrying 200 marks with two papers of 100 marks each (without any Practical component). Biotechnology , Material Science , Mathematics, Provided that a student (Hons. or Pass ) choosing any of the subject like, Life Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, as Honours or Pass shall not be allowed to offer corresponding subject as a major Elective paper.
14.2.Elective subjects shall not carry any Practical component.
14.3.A candidate shall be allowed to take any one of the following MIL i.e Oriya, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu and Urdu, Provided that a candidate shall be allowed to offer Alternate English in lieu of MIL.
