GENERAL INFORMATION & RULES

i) The college usually reopens during the end of June every year or on the date notified. The classes of +2 II, +3 II and +3 III year usually begin immediately after reopening of the college. But the +2 Ist yr. classes beginng by 15th July or as instructed by the Government. The classes of +2 and +3 from 9.15 A.M. and continue upto 4 P.M. in all working days.

ii) The college office and library function from 10-00A.M. to 5-00 P.M. on all working days, unless otherwise notified.
iii) Specified counters/places are provided to students for depositing fees. No one should enter into the office without permission.
iv) Any complaint regarding Official lapses should be brought to the notice of the Principal. In no case the behaviour of the students towards the college employees or vice versa should be impolite and discourteous.
v) Normally on matters relating to issue of College Leaving Certificate, Conduct Certificate, Bus Concession, Mark list etc. the students are required to apply to the Principal and on matters connected with extracurricular activities they are required to contact the Advisers/ Vice-Presidents/Professors incharge concerned.
vi) Normally C.L.C etc. shall be issued on the second day of application. Students are required to bring their Identity Cards when they come to office for any official work.
vii) Students spitting, scribing, pasting placards, posters and other papers, writing on or disfiguring college walls or damaging college property shall be fined heavily, in addition to that necessary disciplinary action as deemed fit will be taken.
viii) Vide G.O. Letter No.12457 dated 25th April, 1989 from the Chief Secretary, Orissa, smoking in all State Govt, offices/institutions/all public transport system/all educational and cultural institutions/all conferences and meetings conducted by the State Govt. and other public authorities should be banned.
ix) The students should carry their Identity card while inside the college and while meeting with the Principal or any other staff of the college. No complaint shall be received without showing the Identity card.
x) The students (above the age of 18 years) and the parents or the legal guardian of the students (above the age of 18) are to give an undertaking at the time of admission that they should abide by the rules and discipline of the college. In case there is any breach of rule or discipline of the college by any student he / she will be asked to take his / her college leaving certificate.
xi) Outsiders are strictly prohibited to enter the college campus. Any body found to be moving in the college premises without any genuine purpose, will be handed over to the law and order authorities, if the college authority so feels.
xii) Students should not loiter in the corridors and move here and there in the college when they do not have any class. They may take rest in the students' recreation room.
xiii) The students should keep their bicycle / two wheelers in the cycle stand. They should not keep them in verandah or under the portico. This must be strictly adhered to. The college authorities shall not be responsible in the event of loss or damages to the bicycle / two wheeler if kept at any place other than cycle stand.
xiv) The student should not join any outside club or association with out prior permission of the Principal.
xv) No students or Team can go outside to play or participate in any other cultural or academic activities with out the written permission of the Principal.
xvi) Students should observe queue while standing before a counter to deposit fees or to barrow books or to purchase or fill in forms.
xvii) Students should not normally enter the office of the Principal staff common room. If they want to meet him/them on some urgent business, they should take his / their prior permission.

xviii) There should be no club or society or any other functions in the college with out the permission and approval of the Principal.
xix) There shall be a discipline committee comprising some members of the teaching staff to look into the matters of discipline in the college.
a) Spitting on the walls, floors, pillars, doors and windows of the college is strictly prohibited.
b) Students are warned not to handle bicycle and vehicles belonging to others.
c) Students are warned not to temper with the switches and fans in the class rooms. They should not mishandle the furniture. Anybody doing so would be seriously dealt with.
d) Students are required to maintain perfect discipline in the class rooms and out side and also in all meetings and functions organised by the college. Misbehaviour with the teachers, members of the staff, class mates or any girl student will be heavily dealt with.

STUDENTS CONCESSION
1. Certificate for Railway/ Bus concession tickets are issued to bonafide students of the college for journey in the following purpose.
a) Going home / native places during vacation.
b) Going to attend interview / competition for educational purposes.
c) Study tour / excursion in a group.
d) Season ticket to attend classes (to & fro)
2. To get the certificate, a student has to apply to the Principal in writing stating the purpose of journey.
3. The students are required to carry with them the identity card during such journey.
4. In case of female students, escorts allowed to travel with the party at concessional fare. Only one escort is allowed for every such students.
